What is Your Path to Tech?

Your Path to Tech offers students from underrepresented groups in the tech industry a chance to engage with others who have found success studying and working in the field.

At the event, you will meet likeminded women and nonbinary freshmen and transfer students entering George Mason in the following term.

Together, you’ll hear from keynote speaker Dr. Missy Cummings, learn about Mason’s tech curricula, and interact with two panels of experienced women in tech—current students and alumnae.

You’ll then attend a break-out session during which you’ll engage in a hands-on activity in your field of interest – computer science, applied computer science, or information sciences and technology.

The day ends with the assignment of mentors to attendees, so you’ll have a current student as a mentor to reach out to for advice as you begin your time at Mason.

Your Path to Tech will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
