Sprinternships™ for Employers

What’s a Sprinternship™?

A Sprinternship™ is an opportunity for you to bring one or more teams of five undergraduates into your workplace for three weeks.

This quick (hence the sprint!) and immersive paid internship gives students résumé experience that makes them more competitive when applying for summer internships. It gives you a chance to build your talent pipeline and advocate for gender equity in the DC tech world.

Sprinternships™ are open to first- and second-year students at UMD with a focus on women and nonbinary individuals. Any first- or second-year student from an underrepresented background is welcome to apply.

Sprinternship™ Guides

The Sprinternship™ Overview provides a guide to Break Through Tech’s opportunity for organizations to be a part of the solution for the diversity challenge facing the tech industry.

Our Employer Media Kit provides information on how to communicate your leadership in promoting an inclusive tech ecosystem, including key statistics, Break Through Tech program language and design guidance, and more.
